Bowling Green State University’s women’s basketball program had a third starter from last year’s team transfer Wednesday.
Mid-American Conference defensive player of the year Nyla Hampton has committed to Ball State.
Hampton, a 5-foot-6 junior point guard, started 89 of the 92 games she played in during her three-year career at BGSU. The three-time all-MAC defensive team selection led the league in total steals (school-record 101) and steals per game (2.81) last season in helping the Falcons finish 31-7 and reach the Women’s National Invitation Tournament semifinals.
