BOWLING GREEN — A little more than a week after transferring from Bowling Green, quarterback Jarret Doege has found his new home.
Doege, who started 17 games for BGSU the past two years, committed to West Virginia on Thursday.
The Mountaineers are entering their first year under coach Neal Brown, who has a connection to the Doege family. He was an assistant coach at Texas Tech when Jarret’s older brother, Seth, was the Red Raiders’ starting quarterback.
Doege is the second quarterback to transfer to West Virginia this offseason. Austin Kendall, a graduate transfer from Oklahoma, can play immediately and has two seasons of eligibility remaining.
