BOWLING GREEN — Since his hiring late last year, Bowling Green coach Scot Loeffler has had little time for platitudes surrounding the Falcons’ chief rival.
The just-another-game cliches that often precede rivalry games are not coming from the Falcons ahead of their game against Toledo, which starts with the head coach. Loeffler emphasized the Toledo game from the start by igniting the Falcons’ recruiting in shared territory and going so far as playing the UT fight song at practices.
Bowling Green will keep its standard operating procedure ahead of Saturday’s game at Doyt Perry Stadium, but the Falcons have made no secret that the Toledo game is their most important date of the season.
