BOWLING GREEN — Lexi Fleming may not be on the court during Bowling Green State University’s women’s basketball games, but that doesn’t mean the standout guard isn’t making a big impact for the Falcons elsewhere.
Since suffering a second season-ending knee injury in her college career earlier this season, Fleming has been like another coach on the sidelines for the Falcons. Whether she’s cheering on her teammates, helping them out during practices, or providing insight during timeouts in games, the 5-foot-5 senior has continued to be an important asset for BGSU.
“She’s an incredible value to the team because of her experience,” first-year BGSU coach Fred Chmiel said.
