Jacksonville, Fla. – Four members of the Bowling Green State University outdoor track and field team will begin regional competition Thursday at Hodges Stadium, on the campus of the University of North Florida. The Falcons will compete in six events across three days. Here are five things to know as you follow the Falcons:
PEDIGREE OF SUCCESS
There may not be a coach in the country who has gotten more out of his or her student-athletes at NCAA Regional competition than BGSU Head Coach Lou Snelling. Since 2013, the Falcons have competed at regionals 26 times under Snelling and have equaled or exceeded their projected seed 23 teams – a remarkable rate of 88 percent.
