The Bowling Green State University softball team put five runs on the board in the bottom of the sixth, rallying for a 5-1 win over Dartmouth College Friday afternoon (Feb. 26). The game was the Falcons' first in the South Alabama Invitational in Mobile, Ala.
Junior Briana Combs allowed a home run to lead off the game, but bounced back to keep the Big Green off of the scoreboard the rest of the way. Combs threw a complete-game four-hitter, striking out seven Dartmouth batters. For BGSU (4-5), the big blow was a bases-loaded, bases-clearing double by freshman Kiley Sosby to cap the scoring in that five-run sixth.
