Tight end Reggie Gilliam arrived in time to block Grant Tinnerman’s punt after the Falcons’ first possession, giving the Rockets the ball at the Bowling Green 22-yard line and setting up Toledo for its first touchdown to make it 10-0.
“At the end of the day, I think it’s pretty plain that [special] teams was a big part of today’s ballgame,” BG coach Mike Jinks said.
