BOWLING GREEN — Bowling Green State University quarterback Connor Bazelak had some pretty reliable go-to targets in his first season with the Falcons in 2023.
An important one in junior tight end Harold Fannin, Jr., is back this year, and that chemistry will likely be on full display again when BGSU starts its 2024 season next week.
The Bazelak-to-Fannin connection produced some impressive results that helped BGSU (7-6, 5-3 Mid-American Conference) earn its first winning season since 2015. Whether it was short passes or shots down the field, the soft touch from veteran signal caller Bazelak – a former Missouri and Indiana quarterback – and great route running and hands from Fannin were the highlights of the Falcons’ passing game.
