BOWLING GREEN — Jaison Patterson’s efforts on the first play of the 2024 season for Bowling Green State University’s football team weren’t a shock to his teammates.
The rest of the college football world, however, found out what the 6-foot, 220-pound senior can bring to the table.
Patterson’s two enormous blocks near midfield helped fellow running back Justin Pegues return the opening kickoff a program-record 100 yards for a touchdown in BGSU’s 41-17 victory over Fordham on Thursday at Doyt Perry Stadium. The play has gotten millions of views on social media and has been featured on several national television outlets, as well.
