AKRON, Ohio – The Bowling Green State University football team forced six turnovers and rushed for four touchdowns in a 38-28 victory over the Akron Zips on Nov. 9, 2014 in Akron, Ohio. The win is BGSU's eighth consecutive victory over the Zips, and the Falcons are 3-0 all-time at InfoCision Stadium.
Senior running back Fred Coppet led the Falcons to two first-half touchdowns with scoring runs of eight and six yards, and the Falcons led 14-10 late in the first half. BGSU's defense then forced an Akron fumble, which they recovered at the Zips' two yard line.
