COLUMBUS, Ohio – The Bowling Green Falcons battled through rainy conditions and multiple weather delays at Friday's portion of the Jesse Owens Classic, but still had a strong showing on the meet's opening day. Mateya Haintz had her third-best hammer throw mark of the season to place third, then DaMya Barker finished eighth in the 400 hurdles with her best time of the season. A weather delay interrupted the long jump and delayed the 200, then another delay was enforced shortly after the long jump restarted. When the events resumed, the Falcons continued their strong day.
