The Bowling Green State University women's soccer program has been picked to finish second in the Mid-American Conference this season. The 2021 preseason poll, the result of voting by the conference's 12 head coaches, was released by the league office on Wednesday morning (Aug. 18).
Head coach Jimmy Walker's club garnered totals of 132 points and five first-place votes to place just behind Buffalo in the preseason poll. The Bulls received 136 points and the other seven first-place votes, while Ball State earned 119 points to finish third in the poll.
Western Michigan was tabbed to finish fourth, while Eastern Michigan, Central Michigan, Miami, Ohio, Kent State, Akron, Toledo and Northern Illinois rounded out the poll.
