BOWLING GREEN — Scot Loeffler said upon being hired at Bowling Green that his first focus was to recruit locally.
His inaugural recruiting class at Bowling Green certainly adhered to the plan. Nearly all the national letters of intent that came across the fax machine Monday morning arrived from area codes in the region, with 14 of the Falcons’ 15 signees hailing from Ohio, Michigan, or Pennsylvania.
Two of the signees came from the immediate area. St. Francis de Sales tight end Joey Carroll signed with BG after being previously committed to Toledo and holding an offer from Army.
