KENT, Ohio — Senior Lauren Tibbs scored a season-high 24 points to help Bowling Green State University women’s basketball team snap a five-game losing skid with a 65-55 win Saturday over Kent State.
Tibbs connected on 11 of 15 shots from the field and made both of her 3-point attempts. She also pulled down eight rebounds and blocked four shots.
Senior Miriam Justinger hit three 3-pointers and finished with 12 points for BG.
Bowling Green (9-14, 5-9 MAC) led 31-28 at halftime after Larissa Lurken of Kent State hit a 3 at the buzzer.
The Falcons came used a 10-0 run to start the second half to build an 11-point lead with 5:50 remaining in the third quarter.
