BOWLING GREEN — Bowling Green State University claimed a 6-2 victory over Alaska-Anchorage in a Western Collegiate Hockey Association contest at the BG Ice Arena tonight.
No. 16 BG (14-7-5, 10-3-4 WCHA) scored five goals in the second period and tied its single-game high for goals in a game.
Sean Walker, Stephen Baylis, Joe McKeown, Brandon Hawkins, Mark Cooper and mark Friedman scored goals for the Falcons.
Alex Jackstadt and Brad Duwe scored goals for the Seawolves (9-11-3, 6-9-2 WCHA).
Chris Nell finished with 28 saves for BG. Olivier Mantha stopped 23 shots for Anchorage before he was replaced by Jared D'Amico, who had 12 saves.
