GRAND RAPIDS, Mich. — The Bowling Green State University hockey team’s final game this season was a microcosm of the second half of the Falcons’ campaign.
BG allowed Minnesota State to score two goals in the first seven minutes of their semifinal game in the WCHA’s “Final Five” tournament at Van Andel Arena on Friday, and the Falcons never were able to overcome the deficit in a 2-1 loss.
“It was like the second half of our year: Teams would get ahead of us, and we were chasing them until the end,” BG forward Mitch McLain said.
