Mobile, Ala. - The Bowling Green State University football team led Georgia Southern 27-23 at halftime of the GoDaddy Bowl but the Eagles scored 35 unanswered points to start the second half to defeat the Falcons 58-27 Wednesday night at Ladd-Peebles Stadium.
Matt Johnson threw three first-half touchdowns to become the Falcons' career leader with 72 touchdown passes as Roger Lewis, Ronnie Moore and Gehrig Dieter were each on the receiving end. Travis Greene added a five-yard rushing touchdown with 36 seconds left in the second quarter to put the Falcons ahead.
