The Bowling Green State University women's basketball team scorched the Stroh Center nets in the first half to build a double-digit lead, then held off a late surge by Eastern Michigan University. The Falcons downed the Eagles, 67-63, in Mid-American Conference action on Wednesday night (Jan. 27).
BGSU's starting guards -- sophomore Rachel Myers and freshman Sydney Lambert -- each hit four three-point field goals, combining for 32 points. The Falcons' starting center, Lauren Tibbs, nearly had a double-double, with 14 points and nine rebounds. And, the team's starting forwards -- senior Miriam Justinger and junior Ashley Tunstall -- each had eight points, three assists and two steals.
