BOWLING GREEN — Many fans view the playoffs as a “second season,” especially for teams that might not have met expectations during the regular season.
While the “first season” did not turn out exactly as the Bowling Green State University hockey team had hoped, coach Chris Bergeron said he does not see the need for his Falcons to view the beginning of the Western Collegiate Hockey Association playoffs this weekend as a fresh start.
“One of the goals, going into the year, is to host a playoff series — and we earned that right,” he said. “Another goal is to win 20 games — and we have that opportunity.
