BOWLING GREEN — Fans of the Bowling Green State University football team have complained about the speed at which the offense has operated to start this season.
But coach Mike Jinks was quick to point out that tempo has not been a problems for his 1-2 Falcons.
“Last year, there were 83-84 snaps [per game], and right now we’re at 80, so it’s pretty close,” Jinks said. “If we convert some first downs, we’ll have even more [plays].
“I don’t think that’s the issue. The issue is making plays.”
The numbers back up Jinks’ assertion.
