AKRON — The Bowling Green State University women’s basketball team lost to Akron 71-61 on Saturday in its final regular season game.
The Falcons (10-17, 6-12 Mid-American Conference) are the ninth seed in the MAC tournament, and will play their first-round game Monday at Buffalo.
Lauren Tibbs had 11 points for BG. Kennedy Kirkpatrick scored 10 off the bench. Miriam Justinger had 10 points, six rebounds, and five assists.
Anita Brown had 23 points to lead Akron (17-12, 11-7 MAC). Hannah Plybon made five 3-pointers and had 18 points for the Zips, while DiAndra Gibson had 12 points and five assists.
