BOWLING GREEN, Ohio – The Bowling Green Falcons (2-7-0, 1-4-0 CCHA) dropped their first home conference game of the season, falling 3-2 to the Michigan Tech Huskies (5-2-1, 1-1-1 CCHA). The teams traded goals in the first two periods, with Michigan Tech scoring a 4-on-4 before Bowling Green tied it with a 5-on-5 score. During a five-minute power play, the Huskies were able to take the lead with a power play goal. They relinquished it by allowing a shorthanded Falcon goal but rebounded with a third period score to secure their first conference win.
The Falcons served two five-minute major penalties during the game.
