BOWLING GREEN, Ohio – Marcy Barberic scored at the hour mark, lifting the University at Buffalo to a 1-0 win over the Bowling Green State University women's soccer team on Thursday night (Oct. 21). The Mid-American Conference match was held at Cochrane Stadium.
The Falcons (7-6-3, 6-2-1 MAC) outshot the Bulls (11-3-2, 5-2-2 MAC) by a lopsided 16-4 margin, and BGSU had a 4-1 advantage in shots on goal. But, that lone UB SOG found the lower-left-hand corner of the net, giving the Bulls – the preseason MAC favorite – the victory.
With the loss, the Falcons drop to third place in the league standings, one point behind second-place Kent State and four points in back of league-leading Ohio.
