MANKATO, Minn. – The Bowling Green Falcons (2-5-0, 1-2-0 CCHA) earned a point in the CCHA standings on Friday (Oct. 28), battling No. 8 Minnesota State (4-3-0, 1-0-0 CCHA) to overtime before falling by a score of 3-2. The Mavericks scored a goal in each of the first two periods, but Adam Pitters sparked the Falcons with an early third period tally. With a late power play opportunity, BGSU pulled goaltender Christian Stoever to skate with a 6-on-4 advantage. The move was successful, as Austen Swankler scored the power play goal to tie the game.
