EVANSVILLE, Ind. – The Bowling Green State University softball team lost a heartbreaker on Sunday (Feb. 26), as the University of Evansville scored four times in the seventh inning for a 10-9, walk-off win.
The game, the final contest in the Aces Home Tournament #2, took place at Tri-State Orthopaedics Field at James & Dorothy Cooper Stadium.
Peyton Dolejs and Katie Hutter each homered, and the duo combined to drive in seven of the nine runs for the Falcons (now 5-9 on the year). Dolejs hit a three-run homer in the second inning, with Hutter hitting a two-run shot – the first of her young career – in the sixth.
