Junior Andrea Cecil scored a career-high 30 points, and senior point guard Sydney Lambert went 6-for-6 at the free-throw line down the stretch as the Bowling Green State University women's basketball team defeated the University of Detroit Mercy, 79-73, Monday night (Dec. 17). The eventful non-conference game was held at the Stroh Center.
Cecil had a double-double for the Falcons (5-4), as she was one of three players to pull down 11 rebounds on the night. Freshman Morgan McMillen scored 16 points and Lambert added 15 for the hosts. Lambert also had eight rebounds and eight assists in the win.
