Bowling Green moved to 1-0 at Steller Field with the victory. BGSU, which has lost five games by one run in 2019, improved to 3-10 overall on the young season.
Oakland started the scoring on the day with a run in the second, but the Falcons answered in the bottom half of the frame, as Ty Suntken knotted the ballgame at 1-1 with an RBI double. Bowling Green went on to take a 4-1 lead, scoring once in the third and two more times in the fourth.
