Charlottesville, Va. – The Bowling Green State University track and field team competed in two events on the opening day of the Virginia Challenge. The second-half of the day's events were moved to Saturday due to inclement weather.

Aliyah Gustafson qualified for the finals in the hammer throw and placed sixth with a distance of 187-feet-6 (57.17m). Allie Farmer was 12th at 174-10 (53.30m).
Earlier in the day, freshman Jazzlynn Gaiters placed ninth in the 400 with a time of 56.77 seconds.
