COLUMBUS, Ohio – The Bowling Green Falcons enjoyed a successful Saturday (April 22) in Columbus, tallying a plethora of PRs and record-book additions at the Jesse Owens Classic. In the day's first event, Brianna Richard was the triple jump runner-up, leaping a PR of 42-2.75 (12.87m) that puts her first in the MAC and second in school history. Zaresha Neal recorded a MAC-best mark of 53-10.25 (16.41m) in the shot put to win the event, then registered the fourth-best discus mark in program history at 176-8.00 (53.85m). Bianca Staples tied for fifth in the high jump with a mark of 5-3.
