BOWLING GREEN — There’s something about facing adversity that brings out of the best in the Bowling Green State University hockey team.
The Falcons completed their comeback from a first-game loss in their best-of-three Western Collegiate Hockey Association first-round series against Bemidji State by beating the Beavers 3-1 at the BG Ice Arena Sunday.
As a result, third-seed Bowling Green (22-13-6) advances to the WCHA’s “Final Five” for a semifinal contest Friday at Van Andel Arena in Grand Rapids, Mich.
Bemidji State (17-16-6), the tournament’s sixth seed, saw its season end knowing it gave BG a scare after winning Friday’s opener 3-1.
