BOWLING GREEN — Despite clawing to overtime and dominating the first extra session, Bowling Green could not find a winner.
And the Falcons paid for it.
Officially, Saturday’s game against Alaska will be logged as a tie for the Falcons, but the Nanooks earned the extra point in the Western Collegiate Hockey Association standings with a double-overtime goal for a 4-3 decision at Slater Family Ice Arena.
Kyler Hope scored a power-play goal, Alaska’s third of the night, to end the game against Bowling Green (19-8-4). The Falcons took eight penalties and had two players given game misconducts.
