BOWLING GREEN — Do not be misled by the Bowling Green State University hockey team’s 4-1 loss to Miami at the BG Ice Arena on Friday.
That score may seem close, especially when you consider the RedHawks had an empty-net goal with less than two minutes to play.
But the shots on goal for the game tell a different story. It’s a story that shows Miami winning battles for loose pucks, creating scoring opportunities, and finishing with 49 shots on goal compared to just 22 for the Falcons.
“It was a lopsided game — the shots talked about how lopsided it was,” BG coach Chris Bergeron admitted.
