CHULA VISTA, Calif. – Bowling Green State University junior Erin Fahey carded scores of 74 and 75 in stroke play rounds of the US Women's Amateur on Aug. 7 and 8 to move onto match play competition this afternoon.
Fahey qualified for the US Women's Amateur after she shot a 71 to place eighth overall in the 88-player field in Dayton, Ohio. With her stroke play rounds of 75 and 75, No. 55 Fahey now advances to face No. 10 Lauren Stephenson in match play beginning at 1 p.m. pacific time, 4 p.m. eastern, where the winner will continue on to tomorrow's second round of match play in the top 32 players.
