BOWLING GREEN — The black, blue, and bruised face of Paige Kohler during Monday’s postgame press conference represented a hard-nosed battle for Bowling Green State University’s women’s basketball team.
The Falcons’ sophomore was more than OK with taking a couple shots for the team in order to pull out a victory.
“I’m good,” Kohler said. “We got the win, so that’s all that matters.”
Kohler, who started all 31 games as a freshman for BGSU last season, and classmate Taya Ellis, a long and athletic forward who can wreak havoc defensively, excelled in the Falcons’ season-opening 71-67 victory over Southern Mississippi at the Stroh Center.
