BOWLING GREEN — Wilguens Jr. Exacte’s physicality, versatility, and effort have helped Bowling Green State University’s men’s basketball team turn a weakness into a strength recently.
The way coach Todd Simon sees it, there is even more room for growth for the sophomore.
Exacte, a sturdy 6-foot-6, 236-pound forward who missed all of last season at Utah with an injury, has found a critical role early in his BGSU career as an elite rebounder. His ability to guard multiple positions defensively and make hustle plays have also helped him see an increase in playing time.
“Just by having that elite mentality in every single practice,” Exacte said after BGSU’s 83-79 Mid-American Conference win at Western Michigan on Tuesday.
