Each week, the Bowling Green State University Athletic Department names the Medical Mutual Athletes of the Week, as selected by the strategic communications department based on their athletic performances from the previous week. This week's winners are hockey player Eric Dop and softball pitcher Payton Gottshall.
Eric Dop, a senior from Lewis Center, Ohio, totaled a 1-0-1 record between the pipes for the Falcons. He began the weekend with a career-high 38 saves on Saturday (Feb. 20) in a 0-0 tie with Northern Michigan.
