BOWLING GREEN — Bowling Green State University’s football team has gotten used to playing at Ford Field in Detroit with back-to-back Quick Lane Bowl appearances.
The Falcons don’t want that experience to go to waste anytime soon.
“What I said to our guys is we’ve come up short in Ford Field twice now, and we’ve got our dress rehearsals here now,” BGSU coach Scot Loeffler said after Tuesday’s 30-24 loss to Minnesota. “We’ll be back, let’s just put it that way. We’ll be back to Ford Field in a theater near you.”
Despite the setback to the Golden Gophers in the Quick Lane Bowl to cap off the 2023 season, BGSU certainly has momentum heading into a 2024 campaign in which the Falcons feel a return trip to Ford Field for the Mid-American Conference championship is within reach.
