Each week, the Bowling Green State University Athletic Department names the Vito's Athletes of the Week, as selected by the athletic communications department based on their athletic performances from the previous week. This week's winners are hockey player Mark Cooper and track and field sprinter Alicia Arnold.
Male Athlete of the Week
Mark Cooper, a senior from Toronto, Ontario, scored two goals as Bowling Green hockey earned a weekend split at WCHA leader Minnesota State in a 3-1 win Saturday. Cooper's first goal put the Falcons ahead 1-0 late in the first period.
