Connections highlight BGSU men's basketball matchup at Michigan State

BOWLING GREEN — An emotional homecoming will be on tap for several members of Bowling Green State University’s men’s basketball program when the Falcons face Michigan State on Saturday night in East Lansing.

For BGSU assistant coach Lourawls “Tum Tum” Nairn, Jr., it will be a rare moment when he’s sitting on the opposing team’s sideline in the Breslin Center.

Nairn, who played for four seasons at Michigan State and spent two seasons as a graduate assistant under Tom Izzo, will be going up against his former mentor. Izzo and the Spartans’ community still mean a great deal to Nairn, even though he’s traded the green and white colors of Michigan State for the BGSU orange and brown.
