BOWLING GREEN — Toledo was too big to overcome.
Even through a second-half push by Bowling Green State University, the Rockets answered every call and did enough to keep responding and rolling with its counterparts from the South.
With revenge on its mind after getting swept by its biggest rival last season in women’s basketball, Toledo received closure.
Toledo sized up Bowling Green, stymied the Falcons’ late efforts at a comeback, and stamped its mark back into the green within the Battle of I-75 rivalry in a 71-67 victory Saturday at the Stroh Center.
“I thought our first half was the difference in the game,” Falcons coach Robyn Fralick said.
