BOWLING GREEN — Marcus Hill made two of the biggest plays of the game in critical moments on Tuesday.
And neither came with the ball in his hands on a night where he posted his best scoring output of the season.
The Bowling Green State University standout’s defensive stops against Eastern Michigan’s Tyson Acuff — the Mid-American Conference’s leading scorer — at the end of regulation and overtime highlighted a remarkable performance from the Falcons’ junior guard. BGSU needed to make a stand on those plays to keep its hopes of winning its MAC opener alive, and the Falcons came through by winning 92-90 in an overtime thriller at the Stroh Center.
