BOWLING GREEN — Derrick Butler had a lot of memorable moments facing Bowling Green State University as a member of Central Michigan’s men’s basketball team last year.
He will have a great chance to create a lot more this year on the other side of the matchup.
Butler, a 6-foot-2 senior guard who was one of the best 3-point shooters in the Mid-American Conference last year, transferred to BGSU during the offseason. The play style and the freedom second-year BGSU coach Todd Simon and his staff gives his players, and the confidence they instill in them, were the main reasons why Butler wanted to join the Falcons’ program.
