BOWLING GREEN — Bowling Green State University’s men’s basketball team got a much-needed win before the start of Mid-American Conference play as the Falcons topped NAIA school Aquinas College 87-62 on Monday at the Stroh Center.
Marcus Johnson scored a game-high 20 points on 8-of-10 shooting to lead BGSU (5-7). Javontae Campbell recorded the first triple-double for BGSU since 2007 after finishing with 11 points, 11 rebounds, and 10 assists while also swiping a game-high five steals.
Derrick Butler added 18 points, while Jamai Felt had 13 points and 11 rebounds for the Falcons. BGSU had a 49-35 rebounding advantage and assisted on 17 of its 32 field goals.
