Broncos Escape the Stroh with 84-82 Win in MAC Opener

The Bowling Green State University women's basketball team dropped a nail-biter on Saturday afternoon (Jan. 5), falling to Western Michigan University, 84-82. The game, the Mid-American Conference opener for both teams, was held at the Stroh Center.

Senior Sydney Lambert led all scorers with 22 points in the narrow loss, and the point guard also had six rebounds and six assists. Freshman Morgan McMillen scored 17 points for the hosts, while junior Andrea Cecil and sophomore Angela Perry added 12 and 11 points, respectively.

Kamrin Reed and Jasmyn Walker each had 17 points for the Broncos, with Walker pulling down a game-high 15 rebounds.
