BOWLING GREEN — It was just after the Bowling Green women’s basketball team’s 73-60 win over Memphis in the third round of the WNIT here on Thursday, just before the night was about to become national news.
Jerry Anderson so happened to be looking right at BGSU star Elissa Brett.
“I wanted to get her attention, because I was going to say, ‘Great game,’” said the Falcons’ public address man, who was standing behind his seat at the Stroh Center scorer’s table.
He never got the chance.
As the two teams went through the handshake line, the two-way traffic stopped right in front of him when Memphis senior guard Jamirah Shutes had words for Brett.
