BOWLING GREEN — The first time Dan Dakich returned here for a basketball game, the good news was he racked up many points.
The bad news: They were the result of two speeding tickets.
Yes, driving in from his home in Indianapolis for a game at old Anderson Arena in 2010, the former Bowling Green coach was tagged for doing 90 on the way over, then 50 in a 30 on the way back.
“A bad trip,” he said, laughing.
His second trip back was just as memorable, but this time for a better reason.
