BOWLING GREEN — By the end, it was not just most Bowling Green fans who had checked out on a second straight dispiriting men’s basketball season.
It was the team, too.
Friday night at Ohio said it all.
The Falcons needed a victory to capture the eighth and final seed in the Mid-American Conference tournament. The Bobcats were locked into the fifth seed, win or lose.
One team was playing for everything, the other — as far as postseason positioning was concerned — for nothing.
You just wouldn’t have known it.
Instead of an inspired last stand, the Falcons rolled over, their offense looking disjointed, their defense disinterested.
