BOWLING GREEN — Spring camp breeds competition within each college football program.
Some, more than others.
But when the clouds of dust settle, contenders arise. Whether it be for a starting position, for a reserve role, or simply for a chunk of playing time, some players get ahead in fall camp and make noticeable strides in their own skill sets.
After Bowling Green State University’s spring football game in April, one of those standouts was singled out by coach Scot Loeffler.
“Really proud of Alex Wollschlaeger,” Loeffler said. “Alex Wollschlaeger, hands down, is the most improved lineman out there.
