BOWLING GREEN — The news that Bowling Green State University’s football team didn’t want to hear was revealed in advance of its biggest week of the season.
Starting defensive back and perhaps BGSU’s most talented player overall Davon Ferguson will miss the rest of the season after having undisclosed surgery on Monday, head coach Scot Loeffler revealed at Friday’s news conference.
Loeffler said the surgery went “extremely well.” Ferguson missed BGSU’s previous game against Buffalo for what was considered a lower-body injury.
“He’ll be back with the Falcons next year,” Loeffler said. “We’re going to miss him.
