BOWLING GREEN — Reigning Mid-American Conference freshman of the year Lexi Fleming is back on the national radar.
Bowling Green State University’s sophomore point guard was one of 25 players named to the preseason watch list for the 2022 Becky Hammon Mid-Major Player of the Year Award on Wednesday.
“"Lexi is an absolute gym rat and a fierce competitor,” BGSU head coach Robyn Fralick said in a news release. She raises the level of everyone around her every day."
Fleming was recognized on the award’s midseason watch list last season, and she was the only freshman mentioned in the January release.
